Nearly 20 distilleries will participate in the fourth Tennessee Whiskey Festival, which takes place Saturday, May 20, in First Tennessee Pavilion, 1829 Carter St., from 6 to 11 p.m.

The festival is a showcase of Tennessee's craft spirits and the people who produce them. It's an opportunity to sample brands you know and some you don't, since this year craft distilled products from other regions will be included.

New this year is the ESPN Wing Zone. Local restaurants will put their best wing forward for visitors to taste and judge. Festival participants will be allowed 10 wings to sample and the "wing off" winner will be announced after the festival ends.

Ticket prices are $20, $60 and $115.

Proceeds from the festival benefit Hart Gallery, a nonprofit that supplies art materials and volunteers to lead art classes and art therapy for clients of other nonprots. Individuals who show promise and talent are then sponsored individually and their works are sold through the gallery. When a work sells, 60 percent of the proceeds go to the artist, 10 percent to a charity of the artist's choice and the remaining 30 percent is kept to help cover costs of materials.
