Chattanooga Market will mark the opening of its 18th season with a two-day event on Saturday and Sunday, April 28-29, at First Tennessee Pavilion, 1829 Carter St.

The two-day opening is one of the few times in the season that the market expands from its usual Sunday hours into two days. Hours will be 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday.

The local artists and farmers market features producer-only vendors from nearby areas. This means that everything sold has been created or grown by the vendors.

Visitors will be able to shop about 200 vendors selling produce, meats, cheeses, flowers, breads and specialty foods. Additionally, regional artists and crafters offer unique finds in pottery, jewelry, photography, apparel, home and beauty products.

Live music is featured on the EPB stage every week. Sweet Georgia Sound will kickoff the weekend's music on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. On Sunday, Jennifer Daniels will perform at 12:30 p.m. and Martin Rodriguez will take the EPB Stage at 2 p.m.
