Organizational apps for the New Year

Think of 2013 as a fresh start - a chance to clear the clutter and amp up your productivity for the coming year. Whether that's taking control of your finances, grocery list or schedule, here are eight apps that can get you on the right track.

Pageonce - Money & Bills

Access and manage all your bills in one place with the free Pageonce - Money & Bills app.

Once you add your accounts (credit card, utility, cable, cell phone and other bills) you can set a reminder of when the payments are due so you'll never deal with a late fee again. The app also provides users with a financial overview complete with transactions and balances, so users can see where they are spending and how they can save. Don't worry, if your phone or tablet is lost or stolen, just log in to the Pageonce website and deactivate access from your device(s). free

Remember the Milk

This aptly-named app offers user-friendly list making and scheduling options, but with the added bonus of syncing to many of your other accounts such as Gmail and Twitter for easy task management across multiple platforms. Not to mention, if you have an iPhone 4S or 5, you can create a list on Remember the Milk via Siri. Sort tasks by priority, due date or name, and then swipe to check them off your list as you go. free

Cloth

Those of us with full closets can have a hard time remembering what outfits we have for certain occasions, making getting dressed a long, frustrating fiasco. The Cloth app is the clothing lover's best friend, providing a simple way to save, organize and share your favorite outfits. Just snap a photo of your outfit and sort them by occasion (work, evening, everyday, etc.) to keep a record of your best-dressed moments.

Upgrade the app to take advantage of the weather features, which use real-time weather data to give you one-touch access to the best outfits from your wardrobe for the current conditions.

The in-app upgrade also gives you built-in photo editing and filters so you always put your best face forward. Free or $0.99 with weather update

Evernote

When your best ideas strike, jot them down on Evernote and email them to friends and colleagues in seconds. free
