The Chattanooga Theatre Centre will offer its final Youth Theatre production of the season over the next three weekends.

"Stellaluna" is the story of a baby bat whose life is going well until an owl attacks her mother one night, separating the mother and baby. The tiny bat, Stellaluna, is lucky enough to land in a nest of baby birds, but her whole world has just turned upside down. Stellaluna's adoptive mom accepts her into her nest but only if she will act like a good bird. Soon, Stellaluna has learned to behave as birds do.

Anyone who has ever been asked to be someone they're not will understand the conflicts and possibilities Stellaluna faces, according to producers.

Maria Chattin-Carter is directing the production, which is suitable for children in prekindergarten through sixth grade. The play is based on the story by Janell Cannon, adapted by Saskia Janse, with music by Guus Ponsioen.
