Cool cats get to disco dance, solve a murder

Reservations are due by Wednesday, Nov. 14, for the annual murder-mystery dinner-theater show to be presented by the McMinn County High School Show Choir. "Death by Disco" will run Thursday, Nov. 29, through Saturday, Dec. 1. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and dinner will be served at 7.

The action is set in the House of Groove Discotheque, otherwise known as Restoration Preschool, 3115 Highway 39 West, in Athens, Tenn.

Those attending are encouraged to fully involve themselves, "so please feel free ... to come in costume and in character," says a news release. "It's optional, of course, but participation enhances your whole experience."

In this trip back to the '70s, supermodel Bisty Crinkley is having a birthday bash, complete with a dance-off and limbo contest. But as the night unfolds, someone in the crowd will be revealed as a cold-blooded killer, or perhaps another victim.

Tickets are $18 per person ($3 discount on each ticket for groups of five or more). Tickets include a catered meal, so they will not be sold at the door.

To order tickets, email mchsmusical@gmail.com or call 423-745-4142 and ask for Sarah Dalbey.
