Last performances for 'The Children's Hour'

A hateful lie told by an angry student at an all-girls boarding school irrevocably tarnishes the reputation of the two women who run it, leading to the destruction of their careers, relationships and lives.

"The Children's Hour," a 1934 play by Lillian Hellman, is playing at the Chattanooga Theatre Centre, 400 River St. Performances continue through April 28.

In central roles are Laura Maynard as student Mary Tilford, Kelly Pennell and Ashley McKoy as headmistresses Karen Wright and Martha Dobie. George Quick is directing.
