Anna, Ruth and Peter are awaiting the arrival of a child the three will raise. Before they can welcome the new baby into the household, they have to let go of the imaginary children who live with them.

In Paula Vogel's "And Baby Makes Seven," the imaginary children seem so real it's heartbreaking when they have to go. The two actresses playing Anna and Ruth also play the imaginary alter-egos.

The play, which is being presented by the Professional Actor Training Program at Chattanooga State Community College, is described by producers as quirky, insightful and "immensely entertaining."

The production features 2013 graduates Mario DeAndré Brooks, Katelynd Frierson and Desiraé Turner. Sherry Landrum is directing.

The show contains adult themes and language and is not suitable for children.

Performances will take place at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, April 26-27, and at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, April 28, at the Ensemble Theatre of Chattanooga within Eastgate Town Center, 5600 Brainerd Road.

Ticket are $5. Faculty, staff and students of Chattanooga State will be admitted free of charge with ID. Reservations are not needed.
