Tennessee Williams' 'Glass Menagerie' in Spring City

Tennessee Valley Theatre, 184 W. Jackson Ave., in Spring City, Tenn., will present Tennessee Williams' first big Broadway success, "The Glass Menagerie," Feb. 8-17.

Performances are scheduled at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and at 2 p.m. Sundays.

The director is Morgan Robbins. Cast members include Hunter Rodgers, Anita Hale, Brett Pearce and Kaitlyn Couch.

Considered an emotionally devastating portrait of hope, the play recalls St. Louis during the 1930s, when an aspiring poet finds his shy sister a gentleman caller to please their overbearing mother.
