Matt Moulthrop's wood turnings on view in Cleveland

"Learning the Curve: The Artistry of Matt Moulthrop" will open Friday, Aug. 29, at the Museum Center at Five Points, 200 E. Inman St., Cleveland, Tenn. This collection by the third-generation woodturner will feature breakthrough pieces that set him apart from his father and grandfather (more on this family of artists at www.moulthropstudios.com). Among the examples of Matt Moulthrop's work are this red maple turning, left, measuring 10 inches high by 13.5 inches wide, and a poison ivy table, measuring 15 by 70 by 30 inches. The exhibit runs through Saturday, Nov. 15. Hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday-Friday, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday. Admission is $5 adults, $4 students and seniors.
