Prize-winning pieces on display in Crossville

The artists at the CATS Gallery inside Crossville Outlet Mall, 228 Interstate Drive (Exit 320 off I-40) in Crossville, Tenn., are showcasing works that have won ribbons, medals and certificates from regional arts organizations through July. This "Little Black Dress With an Alter-Ego," a reversible design in 100 percent Japanese cotton created by Anne Looney Cook, was the winner at the American Association of Family & Consumer Sciences annual conference last month in St. Louis. Cook also has prize-winning pieced hangings and table runners on display. Also included in the show are media articles offering background on pieces displayed in a U.S. Senator's office and at the Knoxville Transit Authority. Gallery hours are 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Saturday, 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Sundays (all times Central). For more information, call 931-210-5599.
