Holiday sale at Lookout Mountain Pottery

Mark Issenberg of Lookout Mountain Pottery will host a holiday sale and kiln opening with several of his artist friends Saturday and Sunday. Hours are 10 a.m.-4 p.m. both days.

"The kiln opening will be Saturday at noon, and I am inviting folks to help me unload my kiln and get first pick on the pottery," he said.

"I make functional pottery with earth-colored glazes that people can use every day, and this year I have made face jugs in the tradition of folk potters of North Georgia."

This is his eighth annual Holiday Sale With Friends. Other featured artists are:

  • Becky Braddock -- pottery and felted bags.

  • Majorie Langston -- lampworked glass beads and Christmas ornaments.

  • Don Hutchinson -- recycled creations.

This year's theme is "Buy Local / Buy Handmade."
