Hot summer nights

The Palms offers specials, entertainment every night

The Palms at Hamilton offers something for all age groups 21 and up, with a variety of live entertainment, food and drink specials that create opportunities for a memorable summer evening.

"The Palms offers three different options for dining and socializing," says owner Louise Gray. "The Coconut Room is our main dining room and piano bar. There, guests can enjoy cocktails or a glass of wine while listening to our entertainer on the baby grand piano. The Lounge, on the other hand, is more vibrant, with live music and a DJ on the main dance floor. The Patio Bar and Lounge offers soft seating, fire pit tables and bar seating outside, great for the warm summer nights."

The Chattanooga Monday Nite Big Band is a group of professional musicians who perform a wide variety of big band sounds like jazz using 17 musical instruments. The band performs every Monday night in The Coconut Room. Tuesday through Saturday nights, Jimmy Harris performs everything from Jimmy Buffet to Ray Charles on the baby grand piano.

"The Palms offers an atmosphere where business meets social," says Gray. "Business groups can socialize and enjoy a great steak in The Coconut Room atmosphere and then go to the The Palms Lounge and dance the night away."

The Palms offers special menus for larger corporate events and can custom-design a menu for special occasions. However, every night of the week, guests can enjoy the housemade selection of food and drinks, including specials.

Tuesday is oysters and rib-eye steak night, with the 14-ounce rib-eye at $21.95 and oysters on the half shell for $12.95 or a sailors dozen of 15 for the price of a dozen.

Wednesday is Ladies Night with live entertainment, a 12-ounce slowroasted prime rib for $18.95 and a special selection of wines offered half off by the bottle.

Thursday is Date Night and features an all-inclusive meal for two starting at $49.95 with entertainment.

Seafood Night is hosted every Friday when the Palms' seafood platter is $17.95. The dish includes a fried grouper filet, jumbo shrimp, deviled crab with steak fries and sweet raisin slaw.

The weekends are no exception, with specials like the pepper-bacon wrapped filet mignon for $25.95 on Saturday and the Sunday brunch menu available from noon to 4 p.m. each Sunday along with $2 mimosas and bloody marys.

"When you have been in the restaurant business for some time, you certainly recognize quality and freshness," says Gray. "We strive to exceed our own standards daily. Everything is made to order with tried and true recipes."
