Chattanooga's award-winning Scenic City Chorus will present "Country Christmas," an evening of a cappella entertainment, on Saturday.

The 45-voice women's chorus, under the direction of Nashville native Jennifer Cooke, will entertain with musical selections made popular by country legends from Patsy Cline to Reba McEntire.

A special Holiday Chorus composed of an additional 30 women from the greater Chattanooga area will join the group onstage for several holiday favorites.

Special guests will be Dream, the reigning champion quartet for the Heart of Dixie Region, Sweet Adelines International.

A highlight of the show will be a "Rising Star" vocal contest, with three high-school age girls competing "American Idol" style. The winning contestant will be selected by audience vote to receive a scholarship.

Also making an appearance will be the Ringgold High School chorus. A portion of the evening's proceeds will benefit the chorus as it rebuilds its music program after the devastation of the April tornadoes.
