Five bands featured in Cleveland bluegrass festival

Hundreds of bluegrass fans from across the Southeast are expected Saturday in Cleveland, Tenn., when the 12th annual White Oak Mountain Bluegrass Festival gets under way at the Tri-State Exhibition Center, 200 Natures Trail (half-mile west of I-75 at Exit 20).

Gates will open to the center's grounds at 11 a.m., with music starting at noon. There will be a Pickin' Barn on-site where shade-tree fiddlers and pickers can get together to jam.

Saturday's featured acts will be Rigney Family Bluegrass, The Dismembered Tennesseans, Mountain Cove Bluegrass, Just Us Bluegrass Band and Fox Mountain Express.

Admission is $10.

RV hookups and primitive-camping spaces will be available on-site this year. Camping reservations should be made today; any remaining spaces will be offered on-site Saturday.
