International music star Yanni will perform at the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Auditorium on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
Touring with his band of world-renowned musicians, the composer/performer has sold out major venues around the world and had numerous concerts recorded for rebroadcast on television.
Two Yanni shows, filmed Dec. 16-17 at Castillo San Felipe Del Morro in Puerto Rico, debuted March 3 on PBS.
Local hammer dulcimer player Dan Landrum did five international tours with Yanni but has not toured with him in recent years.
"He's focusing more on the vocals these days in his shows," Landrum said.
Yanni's string of U.S. concert dates will be followed by a South American tour in the fall and a tour of China in 2013.
