Four acts are set for year five of Blues in the Knob, a music festival organized by the Orchard Knob Neighborhood Watch Association. Concerts will take place Saturday, Aug. 24, at the corner of Vine and Hawthorne streets.

Scheduled to entertain are Deacon Bluz & The Holy Smoke Band, Glenn Weiser, Rick Rushing and the Blues Strangers and Chris Lacy's BluesBoppers. Artists will take the stage from 3 to 9 p.m.

According to organizers, the festival is the main cultural event presented by the association each year. Its purpose is to provide an evening of entertainment as well as a way to connect the neighborhood together by building relationships.

Vendors and refreshments will be available, as well as activities for kids.

Dr. Clark White (aka Deacon Bluz), a lifelong blues musician and historian, is a member of the association and has helped to organize the event.
