Americana string band Old Crow Medicine Show has sold out its show Saturday, July 13, at Track 29.

The band got its start busking on street corners between New York and Canada.

The musicians eventually found themselves in Boone, N.C., where they caught the attention of folk icon Doc Watson while playing in front of a pharmacy. He invited them to play at his MerleFest, helping to launch their career.

Shortly thereafter, the band relocated to Nashville for a residency at the Grand Ole Opry, entertaining the crowd between shows.

In the past 15 years, the band has toured the world, sold more than 800,000 albums, made frequent appearances on "A Prairie Home Companion" and played such events as Bonnaroo, Coachella and the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival.

Their signature single, "Wagon Wheel," has been certified gold with sales exceeding 500,000 copies.

Texas country singer Dale Watson will open Saturday's show.
