Harpeth Rising CD release party - Nov. 2

Nashville-based folk band Harpeth Rising, touring in support of fourth album "Tales From Jackson Bridge," will perform at Charles & Myrtle's Coffeehouse, 105 McBrien Road, at 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2. The classically trained musicians, who play banjo, fiddle, cello and percussion, count roots, bluegrass and blues music among their influences, and the new release adds elements of rock, Latin, Texas swing and Gypsy jazz. Previous albums "The End of the World," "Dead Man's Hand" and their eponymous debut have landed them in the Top 10 on the International Folk Charts, on numerous best-of lists and garnered praise throughout the U.S. and U.K. For more information, call 423-892-4960 or visit www.christunity.org.
