Award-winning contemporary Christian group Casting Crowns will bring the message from new album "Thrive" to Chattanooga on Friday, Aug. 29, for a 7 p.m. show, presented by DMI Concerts, at Memorial Auditorium, 399 McCallie Ave. The Thrive tour is a reminder to Christians that simply "surviving" is "not the life that God designed for us to live," says frontman Mark Hall. "That's not saying you're not going to have problems. ... Hard times are going to come, but God didn't put you here just so you could survive through hard times. He put you here to thrive, to dig in and to reach out." Special guests are Laura Story and For King & Country. Tickets are $24, $28, $36, $41 and $56 (plus fees); $2 discounts for groups of 15 or more. To purchase, call 423-642-8497 or visit www.ChattanoogaOnStage.com.
