Stephen CavittStephen Cavitt, who practices and teaches healing arts, will lead a drum circle merging art and sound at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 18, in the main gallery at the Association for Visual Arts, 30 Frazier Ave. The class will blend ideas from world drumming, modern drum facilitation and music therapy. Activities are beginner-friendly, Cavitt says, and are meant to develop active listening, emotional expression and relaxation. The event is limited to 25 attendees.
