Kevin Okeith, featured artist at the Bessie Smith Cultural Center through Feb. 20, will give an artist talk Thursday.
Okeith created his first solo exhibition, "Love Supreme," based on his combined loves of art and the jazz music of John Coltrane.
His talk will start at 6 p.m. at the center, 200 E. M.L. King Blvd. Those attending will learn more about this emerging artist, from how he started in the field to what continues to inspire him today.

Visitors to the museum can tour "Love Supreme" and other exhibits 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday, noon-4 p.m. Saturdays. Museum admission is $7 for adults, $5 for senior citizens and students, $3 for ages 6-12.
