Antique Appraisal Fair at Jasper museum

The Jasper (Tenn.) Regional History Museum is sponsoring a free Antique Appraisal Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. CDT Saturday.

"The fair will be fashioned after the 'Antiques Roadshow,' and an appraisal certificate will be presented to each person," organizers said in a news release.

"Small items can be brought inside the museum for appraisal. If an item is too large to bring inside easily, "appraisers will gladly examine it without removing it from your vehicle," said the news release.

Reference materials will be on hand to determine value for insurance purposes. Appraisals are limited to one item per person. Although the service is free, donations to the museum are appreciated.

The museum is on Phillips Avenue, across from the Fire Department offices and the walking track in Jasper Park, next to Marion County High School. Directional signs will be posted on Betsy Pack Drive (Highway 41).

Refreshments will be available, and tours of the museum are welcome.
