UTC lecture series honors Black History Month

The History Department at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga is hosting a lecture series in honor of Black History Month.

The second lecture in the series, scheduled Tuesday, features Dr. Francoise Hamlin of Brown University. The title of her talk is "'I Have Not Ended the Story for There Is No End: Local Civil Rights Movements."

The final lecture is scheduled Feb. 22 with Dr. Clark White of UTC. His topic is "Shootout in the Valley: The Garvey Movement Incident in Chattanooga."

Lectures take place from 5:30 to 7 in the Raccoon Mountain Room of the University Center.
