Comedians band together for benefit to help Boo Carlisle

Several comics will perform tonight at The Comedy Catch, 3224 Brainerd Road, during a benefit for Boo Carlisle, a longtime bartender at the club and elsewhere.

Carlisle fell and broke his hip in November. Though he is back at work, he is still trying to pay off debts accumulated while he was recuperating.

Featured performers will be Janet "The Tennessee Tramp" Williams and the Hicks Gone Wild duo of Cousin Ricky Peardon and Big Eddie Caylor.

Williams is known for her colorful, hold-nothing-back commentary on marriage, divorce, men and women. The Hicks are Southern boys through and through who share their thoughts on living in God's country.

Admission is $15. The show is rated R.
