The Chattanooga Southeast Tennessee Home Education Association will present its 29th annual Home Education Expo today and Saturday at Camp Jordan in East Ridge.
Eighty-three exhibitors are showcasing goods and services during the two-day event, which provides resources for parents who home-school as well as general education enrichment.
Experts will led 65 workshops on such topics as:
* Age-related schooling ("The Early Years: Homeschooling Your Preschooler" and "Teaching Teens: Enjoying Them, Not Just Surviving Them").
* Extracurricular activities ("The Quiet Schooling of Nature" and "Teach Your Child Music").
* Learning differences ("What Makes One Student Learn Easily & Another Struggle?" and "Learning in Spite of Labels").
* Bible-based learning ("The Relevance of Genesis" and "Believe It or Not, God Did Choose You To Homeschool Your Children").
Hours are 9 a.m.-7:30 p.m. today, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday.
Cost is $8 per nonmember family (good both days).
