Spirits in the Wild at Chattanooga Zoo

A fundraiser scheduled Saturday at Chattanooga Zoo will give guests a chance to enjoy the facility after hours.

Spirits in the Wild, set for 7-10 p.m., will feature a variety of wines, beers and spirits from around the world. Guests will dine on food from favorite local restaurants, including Blacksmith's Bistro, 212 Market, Acropolis, Sweet Pepper's Deli, Out of the Blue Cafe, EarthFare, River Street Deli and T-Bone's. The Peter Moon Band will entertain.

Proceeds benefit the zoo's capital campaign, which supports "important expansions that allow us to better our zoo for the community we serve," said executive director Darde Long.

The zoo, 301 N. Holtzclaw Ave., also will be open regular hours Saturday (9 a.m.-5 p.m.)

Tickets to Spirits in the Wild are $40 per person, and guests must be 21 or older to attend. The event will be held rain or shine; no refunds.
