Two area authors set book signings

Two authors with Chattanooga ties will be available to fans this weekend.

• Chattanooga native and current Hunstville, Ala., resident Michele Pendleton will sign copies of her latest book, "Rose on Her Own," from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, April 19, at Graffitti, A Hill City Art Joint, 629 Spears Ave. Pendelton has written numerous novels, poems and short stories, and this is her first published novel. • High school student Drew Lorenzo, who signed a three-book deal with New Orleans-based W2G Publishing last year, will sign copies of her first book, "Imaginary," from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Saturday, April 20, at Barnes & Noble, 2100 Hamilton Place Blvd.

Lorenzo, who uses the pen name Poppy Jackson, says her second book, "Rapture," is in the editing stages for an expected late summer release.
