Food, art, music at Taste of Crossville

photo During Taste of Crossville, artists such as Bryan Wilkerson will demonstrate their skills at Shanks Center for the Arts.

Taste of Crossville, a chance to sample the specialties of dozens of Crossville, Tenn., food providers, is set for 6 p.m. CDT today, May 23, at The Depot, 169 N. Main St., and the adjacent Taylor Square Professional Building.

According to organizers, several first-time participants are confirmed: Beef & Barrel, Blind Zebra, Big John's BBQ, Cancun's, The Country Cupboard, Cafe at Cumberland Medical Center, Cumberland Mountain State Park, Dynasty, Flipfest, Good Samaritan Society Fairfield Glade, Kali's, Marketplace Cafe, Mega-Bites Karaoke Lounge, Phil-ing Station Sports Bar & Grille, Skillets, Sweeling Tea Shop, Tony's Place and Weight Watchers.

They join returning crowd pleasers FFG Legends, Budweiser, Chestnut Hill Winery, Fortes, Calfkiller Brewery, Big Boy's BBQ and Carol Branson Confections, among others.

The Ozone Falls will provide entertainment while diners stroll from table to table sampling the food and beverages offered.

The Shanks Center for the Arts, 140 N. Main St., will have six working artists on-site, and exhibits will be open for guests to view the works of regional artists. The newly renovated caboose at The Depot will be showcased.

Tickets are $20. They are available at The Depot, the Shanks Center and Fairfield Glade Community Center, 105 Stonehenge Drive.
