She women's expo this weekend

She: An Expo for Women may not rise to the lofty levels of "She," the Elvis Costello song that ends the movie "Notting Hill. Its lyrics, after all, assert "the meaning of my life is she."

But it's not overstating to say that this Times Free Press signature event for women strives for its own sigh-worthy state of contentment - one reached by gathering celebrity guests, vendors, food and female-centric activities into a single place for two days. The sixth annual event is scheduled Saturday and Sunday, July 26-27, at the Chattanooga Convention Center.

Billed as "the ultimate girls weekend out," the expo will feature more than 150 vendor booths offering products and services for family and home, with a special emphasis on giving the lady of the house a little "me" time.

The must-see events are the celebrity guests: Ree Drummond, aka "The Pioneer Woman" from Food Network, and Drew and Jonathan Scott, stars of HGTV's "Property Brothers" and "Brother vs. Brother."

Drummond will be on hand at 4 p.m. Saturday for a cooking demonstration and audience Q&A on the Memorial Stage. The Scott brothers will be available Sunday, posing for photos with fans from 2 to 3 p.m., then taking the stage at 3:30 p.m.

Also in the spotlight will be the latest fashions and accessories, beauty supplies, health screenings, fitness providers, health and nutrition ideas, cooking demonstrations and entertainment options.

Admission wristbands are good both days and are cheaper if purchased in advance online.
