Chill on the Southside for CP3A

The Crash Pad, an urban hostel at 29 Johnson St. that has entertained 15,000 guests since it opened in June 2011, will celebrate its third anniversary Saturday, June 7. Dubbed CP3A (Crash Pad third anniversary), the event will devote two hours to each activity during the day, ending with a three-hour dance party with DJ Bataille from 8 to 11 p.m. Earlier activities include an open-mike session featuring Kaleena Marie and Owen from The Flying Squirrel at noon; jam session with Folk School of Chattanooga musicians at 2 p.m.; Yoga and AcroJam with Bethyn Merrick-Nguyen and Joy Taylor at 4 p.m.; and an opening DJ at 6 p.m. Cornhole games, slackline and a fire pit will be set up, and food trucks will be on-site.
