Chattanooga Market celebrates Cuatro de Mayo Sunday - May 4

Since it falls a day earlier than the traditional Mexican celebration of Cinco de Mayo (May 5), Chattanooga Market will instead celebrate Cuatro de Mayo on Sunday, May 4. In addition to vendors with the regular assortment of foods, arts and crafts, the market will spotlight the region's best authentic Mexican food, salsa dancing and cerveza (beer). Vendors will have peppers, cilantro and early season tomatoes if you want to make your own salsa, or you can buy it freshly prepared. Activities are from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at First Tennessee Pavilion, 1829 Reggie White Blvd. Carlos Colon will perform mariachi music from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is free.
