DESTINY THEATRE COMPANY was founded as Destiny Ensemble Theatre Company in late 2005 by theatre, television and film actor/director Karl D. Gardner. Destiny Ensemble is a 501(c)(3) non-profit theatre company. Governed by a 7-member Board of Directors, Destiny is blessed with an impressive collection of industry professionals and community leaders
Destiny Ensemble Theatre Company ended its first full season with the 6-time Helen Hayes award-winning musical Bessie's Blues written and directed by Thomas W. Jones II. Bessie was an awesome hand-clapping, foot-stomping celebration of the life and times of the legendary singer and Chattanooga's own Bessie Smith.
