WUTC, FM-88.1 has been the region's public radio station for over two decades. It is licensed to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, and operates 24 hours a day. It is the area's home for programs from National Public Radio and Public Radio International. Local informational and musical programs are highlighted. WUTC- FM can be heard on analog and digital receivers and is streamed on-line at wutc.org. Also, WUTC-2 can be heard on digital receivers and on-line at wutc.org. WUTC is provided by the University as a part of its mission to meet the educational and cultural needs of the metropolitan area.
