The mail-back rates of the U.S. Census forms for our area as of April 13 are:
Georgia: 63 percent
Walker County: 66 percent
Lookout Mountain, Ga.: 71 percent
Chickamauga: 69 percent
LaFayette: 65 percent
Rossville: 62 percent
If you haven't mailed back your 2010 census form, you can still mail them in. Households that return their forms after Friday, April 16, may still be visited by census workers, who begin going door-to-door to collect census responses on May 1.
Be counted, it's important for the future.
