The 2010 Rossville baseball/softball tournament schedule begins on Feb. 19 with the second annual Mike Mullens Memorial Classic.
Mr. Mullens was a Rossville High School graduate and an avid youth sports coach who was shot to death in December 2008 at his business in Flintstone.
The Mullens Memorial Classic kicks off a tournament slate at Rossville City Park featuring nine youth baseball and 11 youth softball tournaments. The games are scheduled from Feb. 19 through Aug. 8.
Rossville is completing Old Timers Baseball Park. The baseball field has a new grass infield and an eight-foot high wooden fence is under construction. The new dimensions will be 350 feet to dead centerfield and 33 feet down both lines.
