ROSSVILLE: McFarland Avenue paving celebrated

The City of Rossville celebrated the paving of McFarland Avenue with a ribbon cutting on Friday.

Rossville Mayor Johnny Baker said that getting the city's main thoroughfare paved would help with revitalization.

"McFarland is an ideal area and this will give Rossville the opportunity for commercial growth," the mayor said. "McFarland Avenue is a key piece of the puzzle for the future growth of Rossville."

Rossville Downtown Development Authority Director Ron Wade said that more than 33,000 motorists travel through the city daily. The goal was to get some of those motorists to stop and do business in the city, he said.
