ROSSVILLE: City park gears up for tournaments

Rossville City Park passed the dress rehearsal last weekend by hosting the Mike Mullens Memorial baseball tournament.

The offseason improvements to the playing surfaces, five new pitching mounds and the purchase of a John Deere Pro Gator to groom the infields made a noticeable difference.

The first softball tournament of the season will bring more than 24 teams to Rossville starting today.

From March 5-7, Rossville City Park will host the Border Wars baseball tournament, with teams scheduled to appear from throughout the South.

On March 16, the Patriots Home School High School baseball team begins play at Old Timers Park, where Rossville Middle School will also play its home games.
