Recent Soddy-Daisy High School graduate Carrie Hendrickson joins the 30 others who have officially been inducted into the Soddy-Daisy Hall of Fame.

Hendrickson, who graduated from SDHS in December 2010, maintained a 3.5 grade point average throughout her high school years. For the second year in a row, Hall of Fame inductees collected monetary donations to present a $1,000 scholarship to a deserving recent SDHS graduate.

"Miss Hendrickson graduated from Soddy-Daisy a semester early," said SDHS Hall of Fame inductee Judge Clarence Shattuck. "She is a most deserving young lady."

Hendrickson said she appreciates her high school guidance counselor Nancy Zuber for pushing her toward success and encouraging her. She plans to major in nursing at Chattanooga State.

"I am excited to get the scholarship," said Hendrickson. "I was a hardworking student. I maintained good grades, while working at Zaxby's in Soddy-Daisy."

Hendrickson said she enjoys painting and drawing in her spare time.
