That "one special day" for Aaron and Brittney Henry has turned into many special occasions for Aaron's parents, Michael and Glenda Henry.

After fixing up the barn on their Ringgold family farm for their son's wedding, they decided to offer it to others in the community.

"Really, my only goal was to have it for their wedding, and I really wasn't interested in opening it up for a business. But I got a lot of calls after that wedding to have more weddings there," Michael Henry said.

He said folks can bring whatever they want to use to decorate for their wedding, but plenty of decor is on-hand as well.

"For Aaron's wedding we used lots of burlap and hay bales," his father said. "We have mason jars and lots of burlap and hay. We've got lots of tables and chairs and linens to make it a full, complete wedding package."

The barn, built by hand in 1906, according to Henry, spans 5,400 square feet. It can hold 250 people under the roof, he said.

"The barn is the same that it was 100 years ago," said Abbi Henry, Michael and Glenda Henry's daughter. "We pride ourselves in staying true to who we are."

Outside, however, an old dairy was torn down to make room for a pavilion.

"We turned the silo into a smoking area," Michael Henry said. "The bridal suite used to be the tack room where the saddles are hung. The brides have their own air-conditioned changing room and restroom."

The whole property is flat and fully wheelchair accessible both inside and out, he noted.

Abbi Henry, who helps with the venue - as does the couple whose wedding started it all - said the biggest thing people comment on is the goats. Guests love to feed the goats and chickens, she said.

"You see a lot of wedding videos, but this barn has that authentic rustic aspect," said Abbi Henry.

"I fed cows out of that barn my whole life," said her father. "That barn was part of my childhood. To see people enjoying themselves there, it's a cool thing. You remember getting married throughout your life."
