Live music, swimming, an Ultimate Frisbee competition, karaoke, an old-fashioned baseball game and live taekwondo demos added to the patriotic festivities at this year's LaFayette Freedom Festival.

LaFayette Mayor Andy Arnold even broke a board with his hand after a lesson from Master Seo's instructors.

"We are new to the area," said Master Seo's manager Matthew Tankersley. "We try to help our students develop skills like teamwork, self-control, respect and perseverance - especially through breaking boards. We boost confidence levels.

"Master Seo's has only been in LaFayette for one year. Master Seo's has been in Dalton for 20 years, though," he added. "Our purpose for being at Freedom Festival was to let students take a mini taekwondo class, to demonstrate taekwondo and to get involved in the community."

The city's new drone took lots of photos of the festivities, mainly the concluding fireworks. To see live footage, visit facebook.com/mycityoflafayette.
