Pack-rats who need help decluttering, homeowners who need help with a design scheme, or anyone interested in downsizing and repurposing - these are the kinds of people Pamela Love is looking to assist.

A 30-year teacher who recently retired, Love decided to take her passion for the home projects she took on every summer to another level with her new business, Redesigns by Pamela.

"I took the winter off and stayed at home under my covers reading books and then thought, 'OK, now what am I going to do?'" the Ooltewah resident said of her first year of retirement. "... Each summer I had my house projects... so I thought, 'This is creative; it's problem solving; and I can be helpful.'"

After training with a redesign expert in Atlanta, Love has already helped a handful of clients across Chattanooga. She said she places an emphasis on repurposing what a client already has in his or her home in order to minimize additional purchases.

"Primarily, I want to come in and declutter, if needed, and organize and use what the clients already own to give it a new look," she said.

Love can do as little as one room or an entire house, which can take several days, she said. Price varies and can be tailored to what a client is looking to have done.

"It's about transforming interior spaces from 'now' to 'wow,'" she said.
