Toscano is ending 2016 on a strong note: It's got a fresh look, new recipes and a monthlong deal, to boot.

First, said owner Terry Ismaiel, the dining area now features a new coat of paint, "just to change the view, make it more comfortable for our guests."

In fact, comfort is the name of Toscano's game. Family-owned and family-friendly, the atmosphere is casual, the recipes are scratch-made and the flavors are wide-ranging in order to accommodate every palate.

For example, its menu showcases pasta dishes, chicken dinners, hot grilled subs, piping-hot pizzas, seafood and more. Two dishes new to the menu are veal Parmesan, served on spaghetti noodles; and spinach ravioli, served with special pink sauce and topped with melted mozzarella.

For the rest of December, when you bring in a copy of this story and spend more than $20, Toscano will give you 15 percent off your order. Toscano will be closed for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, "just so we can celebrate the holidays with our family," said Terry.

However, he said, the store will be open for New Year's Eve and New Year's Day, so that he may also celebrate with his Toscano family.

"We wish all the community a happy holiday!" Terry said.
