From the enormous ice cream cone affixed to the side of its building to its name, Dari Dip screams ice cream. And while I never make a trip to the North Georgia eatery without partaking in one of its frozen confections, I would be remiss if I did not mention Dari Dip's whopping menu, including soups, steaks, seafood and piping hot country-fried plates.
Perfect for the cool weather, Dari Dip's soup selection includes homemade vegetable beef, homemade chili or chicken noodle. Available on special throughout the week, diners may also find options such as cheesy potato or broccoli cheese. For the heartier appetites, there are classics such as the "double big burger," featuring two patties served on a 5-inch bun, or the the foot-long hot dog with cheese.
Hot entrées include down-home favorites such as fried chicken, chicken livers and the best-selling country fried steak. All entrées are served with two sides.
However you choose to indulge at Dari Dip - whether it be with a 12-ounce rib-eye or a grouper dinner - be sure to save room for dessert. While the cold weather may not invite cones of orange sherbet or hand-scooped ice cream, the menu also offers melt-in-your mouth cobblers, pies and hot brownie sundaes.
