Tomorrow is the first day of spring, though my backyard has been abloom for weeks. Yellow daffodils, pink lilies, purple violets - a delicious array of colors rivaled by Fuji Steak and Sushi's delectable sushi spreads.
Like a spring garden, Fuji's rolls are fresh and one of a kind. For example, there is the U.N. roll, made with spicy tuna, salmon, yellowtail and scallion, and topped with four different kinds of tobiko.
The pink lady roll is sweet choice, made with spicy crab crunch, cucumber and avocado, wrapped in delicate pink soy paper, and topped with Japanese mayo and eel sauce.
To top it off, for the remainder of March, all Fuji's sushi rolls are half off every Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday. In addition to its sushi specials, for the reminder of the month, Fuji features $3 harumaki, similar to spring rolls.
This month, Fuji also boasts a bevy of new happy hour deals. Every day from 3-7 p.m., Fuji's casual-chic bar offers $3 glasses of well drinks, $4 large sakes, $3 glasses of house wine, $2 glasses of Champagne, $2 pints on select drafts and a dollar off select bottled beers.
