September is a big month for Brewhaus.
“It’s kind of our season,” said kitchen manager Chris Lipscomb. “It’s going to be chaos — good chaos.”
Fall festivities will start Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 9 and 10, when Brewhaus — along with the entire globe — will be cheering on contenders of the the men’s and women’s Ironman 70.3 World Championship, being held for the first time in Chattanooga. To celebrate, Brewhaus is hosting a parking lot party, featuring food specials, beer trailers and front-row seats to the marathon leg of the event.
Then the party will resume the very next weekend, Sept. 16-17. The international kickoff of Oktoberfest, the world’s largest beer festival — which originated in Germany — will be Sept. 16. And Sept. 17 will mark Brewhaus’ sixth anniversary. To celebrate, Chattanooga’s favorite German-American pub will again host a parking lot party, complete with more beer and food specials.
“The menu will be even more German than usual,” Chris said.
For example, specials will include a sausage platter and kassler rippchen, a dish of bone-in smoked pork shanks.
The following weekend, Sept. 23-24, Brewhaus will hold another parking lot party during Chattanooga’s Ironman 140.6.
“Of course, that all leads into October,” Chris said. “But I can’t comment on October yet. There will be things revealed.”
And if that sounds heralding, you’re correct.
“It’s a good time to be at Brewhaus,” Chris said.
