Just behind Riverside Catfish House, a flock of migrating ring-billed gulls dip and dive over the water, as if in celebration of Riverside’s exciting new changes and tried-and-true dishes.

Like those gulls, Riverside is an expert of fish feasts. Specializing in fried catfish fillets, bone-in fingerlings and fluffy fish bites, its menu also includes shrimp, salmon and tilapia prepared blackened, with lemon pepper or with Old Bay seasonings.

And now, Riverside’s menu also offers six draft beers: Coors Light, Bud Light, Miller Lite, Corona Light, Blue Moon and Angry Orchard.

And what pairs better with an ice cold draft than a basket of finger-licking, freshly fried fish? Only one thing: karaoke, of course. Beginning March 1, Riverside Catfish will expand its hours, opening every Thursday from 5-9:30 p.m., when it will also host karaoke from 6:30-9:30 p.m.

Whether you come to sing or just to spectate, between the restaurant’s backyard wildlife and baskets of fish, Riverside Catfish does not disappoint.

Soon, those gulls will return to their northern breeding grounds. But there is still much to anticipate at Riverside. Stay tuned for the re-introduction of the restaurant’s famous, homemade strawberry cake.
