School is out and family life just got a lot more hectic. Thankfully, Soho Hibachi helps make mealtime easy.

With two convenient locations, one in Hixson and one in Fort Oglethorpe, Soho is an affordable alternative to expensive Japanese steakhouses. The restaurant specializes in serving the same expertly crafted traditional hibachi, teriyaki and special noodle dishes for which those steakhouses are known, but for half the price and in the half the time.

And the Tennessee Valley has taken notice. Between Soho’s Hixson and Fort Oglethorpe locations, the Japanese eatery has racked up more than half a dozen Best of the Best awards — the Chattanooga Times Free Press’ annual readers’ choice awards — including “Best Japanese Restaurant” and “Best Carryout,” as well as a myriad of stellar online reviews. On travel website TripAdvisor, Fort Oglethorpe’s Soho is ranked the second most popular restaurant among the town’s 54, while Hixson’s Soho ranks 20th out of 100.

Soho’s food is fresh, its space is comfortable and, perhaps best of all, its portions are famously big. Whether dining in or carrying out, you’re sure to have leftovers.

Who doesn’t want multiple meals for the price of one? Thanks to Soho, at least one part of your family’s summer can be simple.
