Throughout the summer, Forbidden City feeds a lot of families - which makes sense, considering the all-you-can-eat Asian-American buffet offers a filling meal fit for even the pickiest of eaters, with options ranging from short-necked clams to macaroni and cheese.

But the real star of the show this time of year? The self-served, hand-scooped ice cream, of course.

Found among the many food bars topped with noodles, dumplings and stir-fries, the ice cream station boasts flavors such as chocolate, "Moose Tracks," cookies and cream, and more.

In addition to sweets, other cool options at Forbidden City include sliced fruit, salad fixings and cucumber salad tossed in a zesty dressing. There is a bounty of fresh sushi rolled throughout the day as well as a full bar, featuring a big variety of beer, wine and ice-cold cocktails.

After all, it's summer break. At Forbidden City there are hundreds of ways to satisfy your cravings on those long days.
