The 2016 Small Business Awards luncheon in March recognized Ruby Falls, The Barn Nursery and Dish T'Pass as the top small businesses and awarded the Northside Neighborhood House as the nonprofit agency of the year. "Small businesses - from small tech startups to your local garden center or favorite neighborhood restaurant – they're vitally important to our region," Chattanooga Chamber President Bill Kilbride said.

First Tennessee marks 40 years in Chattanooga

Tennessee's biggest bank, First Tennessee, entered the Chattanooga market with its acquisition of the failed Hamilton National bank in 1976. The Memphis-based bank and its CEO, Bryan Jordan helped celebrate the 40th anniversary of First Tennessee in Chattanooga in April when the bank also introduced its new market president, Jeff Jackson. First Tennessee is Chattanooga's biggest bank with more than $2 billion in deposits.
