EPB launches Solar Share

EPB is giving its customers a chance to buy a share of a 4-acre solar farm the city-owned utility erected along Holtzclaw Avenue on a former EPB salvage yard.

Political and civic leaders dedicated the 1.3 megawatt generating facility in June a week after the 4,408 solar panels began generating electricity from the sun.

City Councilman Russell Gilbert, County Mayor Jim Coppinger, EPB Board of Directors Chairman Joe Ferguson, President & CEO David Wade, City Mayor Andy Berke, County Commissioner Randy Fairbanks and Tammy Bramlett, TVA director of business development & renewables, cut the ribbon.
